Well, for a couple of days at least, it feels like fall. An unusually strong cold front blew into town Saturday night, bringing temperatures down into the (upper) 50s:
And what sweet relief it brings. We’d been in the grip of a sweltering heat wave, with temperatures hovering at or near record highs for almost two weeks before this.
I always say that fall doesn’t begin before Halloween here; we get a few brief teases of cool air, but it always bounces right back to unbearable. And sure enough, by Tuesday we’ll be back into the mid-80s, with possibilities of even warmer weather by next weekend.
So enjoy it while you can! We sure did:
