Even when you’re not allowed to leave your house, nature can still come to you. The other morning I went outside to fiddle with the front door, which was being a bit balky. As I did, I noticed a large bird right outside, behind the patch of sunflowers on our lawn.
It appeared to be having some difficulty with its breakfast, as it kept slurping it down, adjusting its posture, then coughing it back up and trying again. Based on the photos, I’m fairly sure it was a glass lizard, a kind of legless lizard that people often confuse with snakes.
See for yourself:
I love when these “wading birds” come to our lawn to feed.
