at Fern Forest. And when you visit this place after a recent rain, you have to be ready for anything: resurrection ferns bursting out all over the place, in various stages of rebirth:
Mosses growing bright green at the bottom of cabbage palm trees:
Even out on the prairie you can find some things you might not have noticed before:

Whether the blooms were there before the rain, I can’t say, since I hadn’t visited this part of the prairie in months. In any case, it’s always nice to get out to the park after a rain, just to see what’s what.
