In my continuing series on making lemonade, here is a picture from today’s downtown stroll along the New River. So, what’s wrong with this picture? That is, what’s wrong BESIDES the poor lighting, composition, etc.; this is not an invitation to criticize the artistic merits of my cellphone camera artistry. How about another hint, this time with a detail from the previous image:
That’s right. The home port is Orlando, Florida. Now, I’ve only been a resident of this state a little under 10 years, but even I know that Orlando is in the interior, just about equidistant from the coasts. See Google Map, below.
How on earth did they get this giant yacht from the middle of the state out to any navigable waterways? Did someone go ahead and build that cross-Florida canal that was all the rage in Hamilton Disston times? Somehow I doubt they could have gotten this beast onto a trailer and trucked it down…
